Ed Cottone is a trial lawyer. While many lawyers have never argued before a judge and/or jury in a trial, Ed Cottone has taken cases to jury trials and bench trials in both superior and federal courts. He has also argued before three-judge-paneled Appellate Courts. Ed Cottone’s specialty is business litigation, representing the rights of business owners.  He has litigated cases with over $100 million in dispute. Ed Cottone has also defended clients in cases against the United States Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service.  Ed Cottone and his team routinely handle complex civil litigation involving multiple parties and issues.  Ed Cottone is well versed in court procedure and he and his team know the local judges and clerks. Ed Cottone and his team litigate against some of the country’s largest law firms, and Cottone & Moon has an excellent track record of success.

 

Education:

In addition to his Bachelor of Science degree from U.C. Berkeley and his Juris Doctor degree from SCU law, Ed Cottone has also graduated from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Ed Cottone is admitted to the State Bar of California and the federal courts of California, Nebraska, and Colorado.

Ed Cottone values community service. In addition to his private practice, he also practices law for the military as a commissioned officer with the rank of Captain in the United States Army Reserve, JAG Corps.  Mr. Cottone volunteers over 100 hours annually for the Sierra Club, and Rotary International has conferred upon Mr. Cottone the recognition of being a Paul Harris Fellow.  Ed Cottone is married and has three children, a son and two daughters.

Ms. Priscilla Moon has worked on some of Orange County’s highest profile cases, with seven figures in dispute. She has handled a case involving a NBA athlete, an eccentric tech-industry executive, and numerous cases where her client’s liberty was at issue.  Priscilla brings expertise, professionalism and resolution to emotionally charged litigation. Priscilla has been around the legal industry her entire life. Her father, a New York lawyer, owned a law firm for over twenty years and Priscilla spent much of her youth being exposed to the business of taking care of clients.

 

Education:

Priscilla, a native of New York, was educated on the East Coast at James Madison University.  She attended law school at Santa Clara School of Law, married and began a life in California as a lawyer.

Priscilla Moon has been a lawyer for approximately ten years.  She has handled complex and emotional disputes and she is well versed in bringing parties to a resolution.  She began her legal career in a baptism of fire, working for one of the most prominent law firms in Southern California, Hughes & Sullivan, where she rose through the ranks and commanded the attention and mentoring of the managing partner of the law firm, Lisa Hughes, Esq.  Priscilla is well known and respected in her field of law.   

 

Priscilla is also very active in her community, having recently served as the president of her Rotary Club.

Expertise:

Halley Bonfanti is well versed in local Court rules and procedures.  She assists our Attorneys in filing documents in both State Superior Courts and Federal Courts.

 

Education:

Halley has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. All of her training as a paralegal has been done by lawyers at Cottone & Moon.

Halley maintains great client and customer relations by surpassing their expectations in a professional but friendly manner. Personally, Halley is married and has a young daughter.

Andrew Linares assists our attorneys in any and all administrative functions that need to be carried out on a day to day basis. He mail serves and personally serves a variety of documents, including subpoenas and writs.

 

Education:

Andrew is currently working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, as well as a certificate in Paralegal Studies.
